Prayer Request

We will keep you in our prayers

This is a place to ask for prayers—for yourself or others—and also to respond to others’ requests for prayers. It is meaningful when you share your own needs and are present to the needs of others.

Jesus taught his disciples to pray with very simple, ordinary words:
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

When you are troubled, remember what Jesus says to us…
“Come to Me, all of you who labour and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

When you are afraid…
“Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My strong right hand of righteousness.”

When you need forgiveness…
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Today we extend our prayers to all our congregational members. In particular, please keep these people in your prayers as they journey through unknown and difficult times. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We pray for Marlene Tinney, Colin Elliott, Sally Sibbald, Krista Haidner, Greg Fiegehen, Kaleigh Trace, Debbie Laycock, Donna Hazlett, Marion Clute, Nora Knuff, Don Archer, Shirley Robertson, Lorrie Marshall, Moira King, Carrie Nesbitt, and Mae French.

Prayer is central to our faith and work at St. John’s. If you have a prayer request, please phone or e-mail the church office: 705.322.1472 or info@unitedchurchelmvale.org
